MV: Thanks for chatting with us Kim. Bringing the energy of the fashion industry to Daytona Beach is a fabulous idea! What was your inspiration to create Fashion Week on the Beach?
Kim Moten: I've been hosting fashion shows for over 25 years and Daytona Beach inspires me. I feel that the city has great potential. I'm a designer myself, with my own line, KIMIKO, and I enjoy supporting up and coming designers and providing a platform to showcase their work.

Kim Moten: A delightful celebration of fashion music and art. Florida's hottest new designers are young creative and their energy is invigorating! We are growing a brand of fashion, art and music for the Daytona Beach community. My intent is to do fashion week annually!!
MV: That's amazing. How long have you been a part of the Daytona beach community?
Kim Moten: I was born in Daytona Beach, and I've worked in the fashion industry nationally with Paul Mitchell, Bronner Brothers and the BET network.
MV: What about the designers, inspired you to ask them to be a part of Daytona beach fashion week?
Kim Moten: I absolutely LOVE the presentation, artistry and creativity of each designer involved with Daytona Beach Fashion Week. Their fresh perspective and upbeat energy are the perfect fit for our shows!!
